Required Skills:
? 10+ years of JAVA experience with application design and development in J2EE.
? 7+ years of experience with Java; Spring framework, J2EE, Quartz, ActiveMQ, JMX, JMS, ANT, Struts
? Advanced Java techniques utilizing threading, JNDI, JNI (Java Space), JDBC, portlet API for developing and maintaining web-based applications.
? 5+ years of web programming and web design development tools and languages e.g. Struts, JSP, JavaScript, AJAX and XML/XSLT/XSD
? 5+ years of relational database development and design skills, preferably Oracle.
? Understanding of Service-Oriented Architecture.
? Configuration management using Subversion
? Previous experience working with Linux and Windows
? Extensive knowledge of software development life cycle and accepted practices.
? Strategic and analytical thinking skills with an ability to solve problems and make decisions.
? Effective in communicating with, and interacting with fellow team members on a technical and non-technical level
? Self-managing, in a fast paced development environment.
DESIRED SKILLS:
? Working knowledge of AS400 operating system
? Understanding of financial products. (Futures, fixed income, equities, etc).
? Good understanding of data distribution protocols using FTP or E-Mail
? Able to configure and install development tools and implement development environments
