Required Skills:

At least 4-6+ years working for a trading company. The ideal person would be midlevel with a CPA. We are not accepting candidates that do not work in the trading industry, so please no exploratory candidates.

Privately owned trading company with headquarters in Chicago's historic Trade Center, is seeking an exceptional and highly motivated individual for the position of Accountant.

Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Accounting from a top tier school.
MUST have trading industry experience in an accounting role.
5+ years experience as an auditor or accountant.
Advanced knowledge of finance, accounting, budget and cost control principals.
CPA licenses a plus.


DESIRED SKILLS: Work with ADP and/or SAGE a Plus

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the internal audit and accounting functions reporting to the CFO.
Review and check books.
Work with Sage, ADP and other accounting tools.
GL's
P and L's
Monitor and review accounting related system report for accuracy and completeness.
Resolve financial discrepancies.
Prepare, examine and analyze financial records, financial statements and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
Analyze financial operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments and obligations to project future revenues and expenses.
Report to CEO regarding the finances of the establishment.
