Requirement for Data Modeler / Architect at TX

Position: Data Modeler / Architect
Duration: 3 Months
Location: Houston, TX

Primary responsibility for the administration of the logical and physical design of an emerging data warehouse environment.
Must have the ability to develop the vision for the warehouse and be able to help build a roadmap to attain it; from helping to build the team through establishment of associated policies,procedures, best practices, and data governance / stewardship programs.

Experience

Preferably 7+ years of data warehousing environment management and DW architecture development experience.
Excellent communication & presentation skills required.
Experience working with a range of DBMS and data warehousing tools in different operating environments.
Good understanding of Informatica ETL, Cognos.
Ability to Conduct user interviews and perform detailed data analysis to identify appropriate data sources, key facts, and dimensions that support the business requirements.
Perform needed tasks to support the standardization of facts and dimensions.
Develop entity and attribute descriptions and definitions for the models and resolve conflicts.
Assist with ETL source-target mappings, data consolidation, and ensure the Data Architecture is applied properly.
SQL Server, SSRS and SSIS experience a plus.
