Requirement for Senior SOA Architect at NJ

Position: Senior SOA Architect
Duration: 3 months+
Location: Lawrenceville, NJ


· 8-10 years multi-tier IT development experience as a Java Developer, including 4+ years as an Architect.
· Strong experience with Web Services architecture, Web Service design (SOAP, WSDL), including implementation and use in a high-throughput, commercial environment.
· Financial Services industry knowledge a must
· Experience with XML based financial data exchange protocols and specifications (such as MDDL, FIX, etc.)
· Experience with multi-tiered J2EE/PLSQL large-scale applications leveraging open source frameworks (such as Struts, Spring, etc.) and common design patterns.
· Excellent knowledge of HTTP/Web Service protocols, especially SOAP
· Excellent knowledge of XML and related technologies (such as XSLT, JAX-WS, JAX-RPC, etc.)
· Excellent understanding of Web Security (such as Web Services Security, PKI, etc.)
· Solid data design skills, as well as strong understanding of system architecture
· Strong understanding of OOA/OOP, including advanced knowledge of Java 5 or Java 6
· Experience with systems analysis and functional design, along with a thorough knowledge of database concepts, relational database design, data modeling and system architecture, design principles and system development methodologies (such as UML).
· Excellent written/verbal communication (including White-Boarding) skills
Desired:
· Experience with Oracle WebLogic and/or WebSphere desired.

· Work in collaborative team environment with Developers, Business Analysts, Data Analysts and Product Managers to understand and refine requirements functional requirements and specifications of new Web Services.
· Establish Schema and Security Protocols to be used for implementing new Web Services
· Design and prototype new multi-tiered application functionality for Web Services based on XML for financial applications.
· Adhere to appropriate industry standards and best practices, software development methodologies and process flows for Web Services and associated frameworks.
· Review and sign-off all related technical documentation, including high-level and detailed-level designs and software implementation; participate in design and code reviews; ensure valid prototyping and unit testing.
· Setup own development and test environment tools/software as needed.
· Adhere to established coding standards and adopt to the software development Methodologies in compliance with the established SDLC process flow.
