Position: QA with shell scripting -INTERVIEW TODAY
Start Date: 2010-03-09
Duration: 3 Months
Location: NYC, NY (some travel to North Carolina)

Must be available to interview this morning on the phone and face to face on Monday and start on Tuesday

PLEASE NOTE SHELL SCRIPTING IS A MUST AS WELL AS FINANCIAL EXPERIENCE

Job Description

Work with client to understand business flow of fixed income applications to create test cases in order to certify data content is consistent between applications that have been ported to a new market data distribution infrastructure (TIB to RMDS).

Skills

· Unix/Linux shells scripting Perl ,awk, Sed mandatory
· Python a plus
· Good communication skills
· Mid-level to advanced MS Excel & Word
· Familiarity with using excel base addins to retrieve market data such as Reuters PPP a plus
· Understanding of fixed income market data a plus
· Understanding of RMDS and TIB infrastructure a plus
· Familiarity with creating test cases

- Speak with development and IT staff to determine test methodology to certify application data content
- Document and create test cases in a Unix environment. ( perl, AWK etc……….)
- Develop scripts to compare log files of financial data
- Work with client staff to facilitate test harness
- Conduct tests
